LAHORE: (Saturday, July 6, 2024): Punjab University Library organized a hands-on training workshop on ‘Qualitative Data Analysis and Interpretation using NVivo Software”. On this occasion, Chief Librarian Dr Muhammad Haroon Usmani, Librarian Dr Murtaza Ashiq and MPhil, PhD scholars were present. In his address, Dr Usmani said that this workshop was part of the library's “Advanced Research Support Services”, aimed at enhancing the research capabilities of scholars. Dr Murtaza Ashiq guided the scholars through comprehensive sessions that covered software installation, data import, file classification, coding, analysis, visualization and interpretation of results. He said that the workshop was designed to cater to MPhil and PhD scholars with a keen interest in qualitative research. The interactive sessions provided valuable insights and practical experience, equipping participants with the necessary skills to effectively use NVivo software in their research.
