Hands on Training Workshop on Statistical Analysis and GraphPad Prism Held at Department of Plant Pathology (DPP), University of the Punjab, Lahore

The Department of Plant Pathology, University of the Punjab successfully organized a one-day training session titled the Research Skill Workshop on Statistical Analysis and Publication-Quality Graphs at Seminar Hall, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, University of the Punjab, Lahore.
The workshop commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a welcome address from the Chairperson of the department, Prof. Dr. Amna Shoaib. She highlighted the critical importance of high-quality graphs in thesis writing and research publications, emphasizing their role in effective scientific communication. Later, the Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, University of the Punjab, Prof. Dr. Tehmina Anjum, addressed the participants and underscored the significance of such skill-based workshops in enhancing students’ research capabilities.
The training session was conducted by Dr. Waheed Akram, Assistant Professor at the department. During the workshop, the organizing team facilitated participants with the installation of GraphPad Prism and ensured that all attendees had access to the software. Dr. Waheed Akram provided hands-on training on preparing publication-quality graphs and performing statistical analyses, including ANOVA. The session was highly interactive, with participants actively engaging and receiving solutions to their queries.
Students from the Department of Botany, University of the Punjab, and the University of Education Lahore also participated in the workshop, making it a collaborative learning experience.
At the conclusion of the session, participants expressed their appreciation to the trainer and the organizing department for conducting such an informative and practical workshop. They also requested the continuation of similar training programs in the future. Feedback was collected through Google Form (https://forms.gle/jwuT4QPYHJC5Jb6MA) ,and e-certificates were distributed to all participants via email.
